The 6th Conference on Recent Advances in the Prevention and Management of Childhood and Adolescent Obesityprovides an excellent forum for authors to present their work in an interactive setting. We are inviting those with newly captured research to submit their abstract. Findings/data do not have to be fully available to submit an abstract, but should be completed by the time of the conference. If you would like to share your exciting new research/data, we encourage you to submit an abstract, please do so online.

The 6th Conference on Recent Advances in the Prevention and Management of Childhood and Adolescent Obesity provides an excellent forum for authors to present their work in an interactive setting. Posters and presentations are ideal for presenting scientifically based investigations, clinical case studies, and demonstrations of community projects. Posters and presentations are intended to provide attendees with a forum to connect with each other and to engage in discussions about their work. Please note that 15-minute oral presentations will be accepted from trainees only.


Submission Deadlines

Deadline for 15-minute oral presentation submissions: Friday, February 26, 2016

Deadline for poster abstract submissions: Friday, June 10, 2016

General Information

  • Abstracts must be submitted online.
  • For presenters of accepted presentations, the conference does not cover honoraria, accommodation, travel or other associated expenses. Presenting authors must pay the registration fee for attendance at the conference. More information on registration will be available in the future.
  • The primary contact will receive an acknowledgement of receipt within 48 hours of successful submission. Please advise us if you do not receive acknowledgment. Only the primary contact (as listed on the submission form) will receive notification of abstract status.
  • There will be a limited number of oral presentations accepted. Abstracts not selected as oral presentations will be considered for poster presentations.
  • The planning committee for the 6th Conference on Recent Advances in the Prevention & Treatment of Childhood and Adolescent Obesity will make the final decision with respect to selection, programming, and/or publication of any abstract submitted.

Poster Abstract Formatting

The following information is required when submitting your abstract online:

    1. Title of presentation.
    2. Author name(s), organization name(s). List primary presenter’s name first.
    3. Street address, city, province/state, postal code, telephone number, fax number & email address of all presenters.
    4. Summary (400 words or less).
    5. Please indicate if you are a trainee or a non-academic health professional working in a community-based setting.
