Program and Conference Management Services
Background
Interprofessional Continuing Education’s mandate is to provide advanced, up-to-date, interdisciplinary professional educational programming to health professionals, service providers, policy officials, researchers and the public on a variety of topics. We are a not-for-profit, self-supporting unit and our team of marketing, finance and conference specialists can provide support in navigating the financial, accreditation and logistical aspects of conference development, implementation and delivery.
The following services can be provided by UBC Interprofessional Continuing Education:
Program Services
Participate in meetings, providing administrative and educational advice to the Planning Committee.
Speaker Management
Including on-line abstract management, speaker/poster presenter correspondence including accommodation and transportation arrangements
Program Management
Prepare drafts of program outline, and produce meeting brochure
AV & Venue Management
Venue search and contracting, logistical arrangements including catering, room set-ups for meeting space, audiovisual and other logistical details
Exhibit Coordination
Invitations, registration, floor-plan development and logistical support for exhibits/trade shows
Administrative Support
Including but not limited to obtaining educational credits from accrediting bodies/professional organizations & designing / arranging conference delegate materials
Marketing
Including but not limited to: Design of advance notices, call for abstracts and program brochures. Promotion via email, direct mail and social media.

Development and/or maintenance of program specific website

Registration Services
Registrations can be accepted through a secure online system, telephone, via fax, via mail or via the Internet. Participants are issued a tax receipt outlining their specific registration including potential concurrent sessions / function choices. All registrations are processed in the UBC administrative system, with all revenues deposited to an exclusive course account. All personal registration information collected on the registration forms is protected by the British Columbia Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
On Site Services
On-site registration and on-site program management incl. making housekeeping announcements, trouble shooting and liaising with venue staff, speakers, audiovisual technicians etc.
Evaluation Services
Including design evaluation forms/ surveys (print or online) and preparing evaluation summary
