The Adults with FASD Leadership Committee for the conference recognizes how important it is to give time and attention to the experiences and stories of teens and adults with FASD, especially to those who are not able to attend the conference. This year, they have added new ways for everyone to share their opinions, experiences, talents and abilities.
Call for Poster Submissions: “This Is Me”
“This Is Me” is a poster format presentation that will showcase the work of teens and adults who have FASD. We invite individuals with FASD to share photos, poetry, artwork, written personal stories, crafts, opinion pieces (what you think about something that is important to you or to others), ideas for change, and any other topic or idea that can be displayed on a poster. These posters will be exhibited at the conference and everyone attending will be able to see them.

To submit, mail in your poster to the following address:
Attention: Cynthia Minh

FASD Marketplace
This year, the conference is also looking to provide a marketplace area for teens and adults who wish to sell art and craft products they have made. Sellers are responsible for their own items. If you wish to sell your work, please contact Cynthia at cynthia.ipce@ubc.ca or at 604.822.7524 ahead of time so that a space can be arranged for you.
Closing Ceremonies: Nothing About Us Without Us
As in previous years, there is a committee of adults with FASD who arrange a closing ceremony at the Adolescents and Adults with FASD Conferences held in Vancouver. This year, that closing ceremony will occur on Saturday, April 21st in the afternoon. All individuals with FASD attending any part of the conference are welcome to take part.
There will be a slideshow during the closing and as an individual with FASD, you are welcome to send a picture(s) of yourself that you like that we can use for the closing ceremony. The photo(s) will only be used for the screen during the closing and no one will be given a copy of it.
If you are a teenager, please make sure that your parent or caregiver knows and is ok with this.
If you wish to have your photo(s) included, please attach it and email: Kristina.ipce@ubc.ca
